A series of Haiku poems, in a bit of a story form, describing my view of social networking. For the record, I use Facebook only, but I honestly feel like making this place my permanent home for contact, since Facebook, aside from occasional games, really irks me with the incessant status updates, some which are so utterly pointless it's laughable.

Long ago I actually had a Myspace account (and I guess, still do, which is NEVER used), and I really don't give a rat's ass about Twitter.

As for Facebook and formerly Myspace, I was hopelessly addicted to it in the past, and even now, there's nothing else for chatting with friends and family... but now, I wonder why the hell I go on there. :iconnotimpressedplz:

A lot of this will describe my worst experiences with Facebook, and current experiences now, and some will be dedicated towards the other two major networking sites that I'm familiar with.

Please feel free to leave comments, constructive criticism if you've got the time, and finally, hope you enjoy this one. (Admittedly, I have an art block involving Photoshop so, just writing some poetry for now. =p)

*EDIT! Cleaned up some pronunciation issues, hopefully well, and fixed up some issues with the haiku itself... one too many syllables for certain lines. (OOPSIE!)

Hey there,

Prettyflour here on behalf of <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/p/o/p…" alt=":iconpoeticalcondition:" title="PoeticalCondition" /> with the critique you requested.

First things first, I think this is incredibly clever with how you used Haiku. So original! And humourous too with how your portrayed social networking. I've always loathed being harassed with games requests... I think any reader who has used any social networking site will find this realatble.

Poor Myspace, all abandoned and lonely... I had one too, and I haven't touched it in years... And twitter? Ha! I love when you said, “Why nother at all?” How very apt.

And yes, I totally enjoyed your crazy haiku story. A read read that made me smile. Bravo!
