What, I wrote a new piece of poetry? Who would've thought after all this time? =p

Nevertheless, yay! :typerhappy:

But, as you can probably tell from the title, the reason I spent many weeks on this was because it was quite the toeing on sacred ground, as I tried to combine the very best and very worst aspects of religion, a phenomenon that boasts a billions-strong population. No doubt I had to be a bit more choosier with my words while trying to keep a snappy limerick rhythm, a bit of humour, and a dash of thoughts/personal opinions on the subject.

Without a doubt, people can use religion to perform far greater deeds than they specifically thought possible, either for themselves or for their fellow man, while others use religion as an excuse to perform some of the worst crimes against humanity and in general, the worst cases of human suffering.

At the end of the day, religion as a concept is not a horrible thing, it's just that the likely scenario is we as human beings are screwing it all up even with the best of intentions. What are your thoughts? Did you enjoy the piece, or if not, how do you think it could be improved?

Please feel free to leave behind your comments and critiques and I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can. For now, I think dinner's on, or it could be I'm stuck in Hell, since I'm roasting real nicely here. :flame:

Nice how you see the different sides. It seems like all beliefs can bring hells and heavens with them.
