Elixir, by David Nicholas

The gift of water
A clear, scentless refreshment
Of peerless repute.

Let me count the ways
Of how this magic liquid
Is vital for life…

Revives your vigor
Relieves crippling fatigue
To focus on task.

Suppresses hunger
Boosts metabolic levels
Boom, easy weight loss

Flushes your toxins
Improves your skin complexion
Keeps you regular

Immune system’s friend
A migraine’s worst enemy
And kills cramps & sprains

Lifts your mood to heights
Higher than Everest’s peak
And it’s cheap to boot!

And yet we’re guilty
Of shunning this elixir
For delish death drinks…
New work of poetry! OMG MOAR POEMS!

A quick extended haiku done to express the gift that is water... For all the benefits it provides, for how long it has been available (practically forever), for how beautiful it looks in certain settings, it is essentially the wonder liquid. And yet, many of us (certainly myself included) forgo this amazing drink for sugary soft drinks, sports drinks, syrupy concoctions and all other sorts of crap. Are those drinks really that tasty as to be more desirable? (Yes, yes they are... ^^;)

What do you think, fellow readers? As always, leave comments and critiques you know where and I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can. In the meantime, this is AussieDidge saying he recommends water to go about your day! :)

I've been fascinated with water for so long and now I have another reason!
